There are people who live by the sea.
And then there are people who give the sea a rhythm, an order, a sense.
Who know its silences, its waits, its sudden rages.
In Cattolica, this story began in 1965, with the birth of the first Lifeguard Cooperative on the Romagna Riviera: a shared decision, a gesture that transformed a profession into responsibility, identity, continuous presence.
To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the Cattolica Lifeguard Cooperative is launching a cultural and collective project: an open-air photographic exhibition.
"BAGNINI BAGNANTI.
60 years of life, faces and images of the Lifeguard Cooperative".
is an authentic and heartfelt cross-section of bathing life in Cattolica: a choral and familiar account of the beach that spans generations and seasons, through the eyes of those who have animated - and continue to animate - the bathing establishments: the lifeguards and bathers.
